Farmers' protest: Talks with Centre progress cordially, next round on February 22

Farmers' representatives from Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) met with a Central team led by union minister Pralhad Joshi in Chandigarh to discuss their demands, including legal protection for MSP. The meeting was cordial, with the next round scheduled for February 22. Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, on an indefinite fast, attended the meeting. Key demands include MSP guarantee, debt waiver, pensions, and justice for Lakhimpur Kheri victims. Previous talks with the government remained inconclusive.
