DTC losses mounted by Rs 35k crore in 6 years: CAG

The CAG reported that Delhi Transport Corporation's losses escalated from Rs 25,300 crore in 2015-16 to nearly Rs 60,750 crore by 2021-22 due to an aging fleet and inadequate bus services. Factors such as unchanged fares since 2009, free rides for women, and inefficient route planning contributed to the financial challenges.
