Shivling allegedly stolen from Dwaraka temple on Shivratri eve, scuba-divers join search ooperation
Wednesday, 26 February 2025 Superintendent of Police (SP) Nitesh Pandey stated that teams have been deployed to locate the missing 'Shivling', with scuba divers and swimmers brought in to assist, as authorities suspect it may have been hidden in the sea."
The Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj has witnessed an unprecedented turnout, with over 40.68 crore (406.8 million) devotees taking a holy dip at the sacred Sangam since January 13. On February 9 alone, 94.07 lakh (9.4 million) pilgrims participated in the ritual bathing. With 19 days remaining until the grand conclusion on Maha Shivratri (February 26), the total number of pilgrims is expected to cross 50 crore (500 million)!
