'She let us down': Karnataka DGP distances himself from daughter Ranya Rao arrested for smuggling gold

Sandalwood actor Ranya Rao was arrested at Bengaluru airport with 14kg of gold bars, leading to her remand in judicial custody. Her father, senior IPS officer DGP K Ramachandra Rao, distanced himself from her activities. Authorities suspect she is part of a larger smuggling network. Ranya had been under scrutiny for frequent trips to the Gulf.
