At Rs 6,000cr, Pune’s 2024 cybercrime losses 5x that of Mumbai, Thane & Nagpur combined

CM Devendra Fadnavis reported significant losses due to cybercrimes in Pune for 2024, with Rs6,007 crore lost across 1,504 cases. The city's fraud amount was notably higher than Mumbai, Thane, and Nagpur combined. Efforts are being made to enhance police training and infrastructure to combat such crimes and improve victim restitution.
