YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, has approached the Supreme Court seeking relief against multiple FIRs filed across various states. The cases stem from controversial remarks he made during a now-deleted episode of the reality show India’s Got Latent. Allahbadia has petitioned the court to club all FIRs together and has also sought anticipatory bail, fearing arrest by Guwahati Police, who have already summoned him.
His petition was mentioned before Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, but the CJI refused an immediate hearing, stating that a date had already been assigned. The controversy erupted after Allahbadia posed an inappropriate question about parents and sex, which led to public outrage. A Guwahati resident filed a complaint, prompting Assam Police to register a case under obscenity and public morality laws. The incident has sparked widespread debate on content responsibility in digital media.
