Gold worth Rs 2.7cr hidden in waistbands seized at Ahmedabad airport

Two passengers were apprehended by customs officials while smuggling 3kg of gold worth Rs 2.76 crore from Abu Dhabi to Ahmedabad. They were found carrying the gold in their waistbands, mixed with chemicals, and also carried gold chains and a gold coin. Intensified surveillance and operations have led to increased gold seizures amid fluctuating gold prices.
