Narrow escape for deputy CM, DGP as plane ‘overshoots’ Shimla airstrip

A narrow escape occurred for around 30 passengers, including Himachal Pradesh's deputy chief minister and the state DGP, when an Alliance Air flight overshot the runway at Shimla's Jubberhatti airport. The ATR-42 aircraft landed beyond the designated touchdown point, triggering emergency brakes. The next flight from Shimla was subsequently cancelled for technical inspection.
