Samajwadi Party MP Zia ur Rehman Barq appeared before the SIT in Sambhal regarding the Shahi Jama Masjid violence that occurred during a court-ordered survey last November, resulting in four deaths. Despite feeling unwell and being advised to rest, Barq cooperated with the investigation after receiving a notice concerning his alleged role in instigating the unrest.
