Big boost for water management: PM ‘krishi sinchayee yojana’ expanded
Wednesday, 9 April 2025 () The PM Modi-led Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the Rs 1,600 crore "Modernisation of Command Area Development and Water Management" (M-CADWM) scheme under PMKSY for 2025-2026. The initiative aims to enhance irrigation systems, improve water use efficiency, and increase agricultural productivity through modern methods, including micro-irrigation and IoT-based water management.
