Burdened by a Rs 9 lakh debt from an extravagant lifestyle and a failed online grocery business, Devmurari initially claimed he intended suicide with the Celphos. However, police suspect he deliberately contaminated the water cooler, potentially targeting employees, despite his attempt to feign innocence by also seeking hospitalization.
