8 Naxals gunned down in encounter with CoBRA commandos in Jharkhand
Monday, 21 April 2025 () An intense gunbattle between security forces and Maoist insurgents erupted Sunday night on Luggu Hill in Jharkhand's Bokaro district. Acting on intelligence, a joint team of CoBRA, Jharkhand Jaguar, CRPF, and local police engaged a Maoist squad possibly led by top leaders Vivek and Sahdev Sao. Over six Maoists are suspected to be neutralised, but official confirmation is awaited. The operation is ongoing, with heavy gunfire and tight cordon in place.
