A 61-year-old online trader in Chennai was abducted and assaulted after a ₹1,000 crore overseas donation deal soured. The victim, F Edwin, had connected a Dubai-based friend with a local trust, leading to a demand for a ₹35 lakh commission that was paid but the donation never materialized.
