Monday, 21 April 2025 () Dismissed police inspector Abhay Kurundkar received a life sentence for the 2016 murder of assistant police inspector Ashwini Bidre-Gore, despite her body parts never being recovered. The court criticized Navi Mumbai police for their delayed response and directed action against officers for investigative lapses. Two accomplices received seven-year sentences for aiding in the disposal of the body.
