To inspire villagers, retired engineer builds tombs for self, wife in Karnataka, calls it 'Sun temple'

Puttaswamy, an 85-year-old retired civil engineer, has constructed individual tombs for himself and his wife in Valagere Menase village, Karnataka, which he calls a Sun temple to inspire villagers and counter superstition. Influenced by Buddha, Basavanna, Gandhi, and Ambedkar, he built the temple on land provided by his family, featuring statues and quotes of these figures.
