More than 800 students test HIV positive in this state

In Tripura, 828 students are HIV-positive, with 47 deaths and 572 alive. Intravenous drug abuse impacted 220 schools and 24 colleges. Data from 164 health facilities; many students from affluent families, some migrated. Joint Director TSACS highlights harm reduction, counseling, testing, and addiction treatment. Antiretroviral therapy is critical for controlling HIV.
