​Mpox's new strain Clade 1b is spreading fast

​In view of the surge of monkeypox cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and in several countries, the World Health Organisation (WHO) had declared monkeypox a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) on August 14; this is the highest warning issued by the WHO regarding any outbreak.​
