A shark alive since the time of Shakespeare is in Atlantic!

Greenland sharks, inhabiting Arctic waters, are Earth's longest-living vertebrates, reaching up to 400 years old. Their slow growth, about 1 centimeter per year, leads to sexual maturity at around 150 years. Radiocarbon dating confirmed ages of nearly 400 years for some specimens. A stable metabolism, rather than just cold temperatures, may be the key to their remarkable longevity.
