World's smallest Penguins are blue in colour

The Fairy or Little Blue Penguin, the smallest penguin species, stands at 13-17 inches and weighs just over 1 kg. These adorable birds inhabit New Zealand and Southern Australia. Known for their blue plumage, they are good swimmers and have distinct raspy calls. Though their populations face threats from predators and human activity, they are not currently endangered.
