3 birds that produce milk to feed their young

While mammals are known for feeding milk to their young, some bird species produce a similar substance called crop milk. Pigeons, doves, and flamingos secrete this nutrient-rich fluid from their crop to nourish their chicks. Emperor penguin fathers also produce a milk-like secretion from their esophagus, providing essential sustenance until the mother returns from hunting.
