Shimmering galaxies revealed in new photos by European space telescope

IndiaTimes Wednesday, 8 November 2023
The European space telescope Euclid has captured its first images, revealing a stunning collection of galaxies. The photos provide "razor-sharp astronomical images" across a large portion of the sky, allowing scientists to observe distant galaxies and capture star formation in a spiral galaxy similar to our Milky Way. Euclid's instruments are sensitive enough to pick up the smallest galaxies, and astronomers hope that by studying the shape and movement of galaxies.
