32-year-old woman declared cancer free after UK’s first liver transplant for advanced bowel cancer

Bianca Perea, a 32-year-old woman from Manchester, overcame stage-four bowel cancer after a groundbreaking liver transplant and extensive treatment, including chemotherapy and targeted drug therapy. Diagnosed in 2021, she was declared cancer-free following the surgery, making her the UK's first recipient of such a transplant for advanced bowel cancer.
