ITAT deals a blow to Sonia, children

In a setback to the Congress leadership, the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) has upheld the I-T department's withdrawal of 'charitable' status of Young Indian in which party president Sonia Gandhi and her children hold majority stake. The order, unless challenged, renders the Gandhis liable to pay Rs 145 crore to the tax department on account of their control of Young Indian
