Gareth Southgate resigns as England manager

Gareth Southgate has resigned as manager of the England men’s national football team after almost eight years at the helm. It comes just two days after England’s defeat to Spain in the final of Euro 2024. Despite that disappointment, Southgate has taken the Three Lions to two European Championship finals and a World Cup semi-final during his time in charge.
