Mr Farage did however attempt to deflect attention to the Labour Party candidate, saying the Reform UK campaigner's comments were "almost as bad as the Labour candidate in Clacton." Home Secretary James Cleverly has warned that voting for Reform UK "just holds the door open for Labour". It comes as Nigel Farage has announced he will stand as a candidate in Clacton, Essex, for Reform UK in the general election on 4 July. "That is the risk - vote Reform, get Labour and the opposite of what you expect and want," Mr Cleverly warned.
