Gareth Southgate resigns as England manager

It comes just two days after England’s defeat to Spain in the final of Euro 2024. Despite that disappointment, Southgate has taken the Three Lions to two European Championship finals and a World Cup semi-final during his time in charge. Prince William, President of the Football Association (FA), tweeted his thanks to Southgate for his leadership.
