Lyles' bid for Olympic sprint double wrecked by Covid
Thursday, 8 August 2024 () Noah Lyles feels "proud" to win 200m bronze after hopes of becoming the first man since Usain Bolt to complete an individual Olympic sprint double were wrecked by Covid-19.
"This might be my favourite medal that I have so far," says 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles about his 200m bronze medal. Lyles, who was hoping to achieve a 100m-200m double in Paris, was taken off the track in a wheelchair following the 200m final. He revealed later he had tested positive for COVID.
