Saturday, 14 December 2024 () British number one Jack Draper talks to BBC Sport's Laura Scott on a Memory Walk to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease. Draper's grandmother has Alzheimer's, a condition that causes dementia and the gradual decline of cognitive functioning in the brain.
Angela Rayner has paid tribute to former deputy prime minister John Prescott following his death aged 86 following a battle with Alzheimer's. The deputy prime minister described Mr Prescott as "an incredible figure in politics" and revealed he would often ring her after PMQs to offer words of encouragement.
