Gotabaya Rajapaksa takes early lead in Sri Lanka election
Sunday, 17 November 2019 () Sri Lankans are voting in the country's presidential election after weeks of campaigning focused on national security and religious extremism.
Former defense chief Gotabaya Rajapaksa has won Sri Lanka's presidential election, seen by some as a strong hand to protect the country against extremism, and by others as a man who should be tried for alleged war crimes. David Doyle reports.
