Baby-snatching chimpanzees in Uganda force families to abandon homes

Chimpanzees in rural Uganda are increasingly encroaching upon human communities due to the loss of their natural habitat, leading to distressing incidents where children are separated from their mothers. The Jane Goodall Institute estimates that around 5,000 chimpanzees inhabit Uganda, and while attacks on humans are rare, they have prompted the need for solutions to address the escalating conflict.
