US advises its citizens in Gaza to move closer to Egypt's Rafah crossing

IndiaTimes Saturday, 14 October 2023
The US government has advised its citizens in Gaza to move south toward the Rafah border crossing with Egypt in preparation for a possible reopening. The US worked with Egypt, Israel, and Qatar to try to open the crossing on Saturday, but it is unclear if Hamas will allow access. The U.S. estimates there are 500-600 dual-citizen Palestinian-Americans in Gaza, and they hope to evacuate them.
