Gaza families ordered south return home, say nowhere is safe from Israeli bombs

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 17 October 2023
Amid intense bombardment in Gaza, the Abu Marasa family and several others have decided to return to their homes in the north of the Strip. Israel had ordered all civilians to go south or face bombardment, but the families felt it was better to die at home than in the south. The Israeli military has been carrying out its most intensive bombardment of Gaza, with heavy strikes hitting Khan Younis and other parts of the south. The evacuation order has raised concerns about a breach of international law and has led to a worsening humanitarian disaster in the enclave.
