IndiaTimes Tuesday, 17 October 2023
Ukrainian forces have used US-supplied long-range ATACMS missiles for the first time, causing heavy damage to two airfields in Russian-occupied areas. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the United States and stated that the weapons had proven themselves. The use of ATACMS missiles is expected to disrupt Russian supply lines, air bases, and rail networks in occupied territories. This marks a new chapter in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Ukrainian forces have been gradually advancing in their counteroffensive, while Russia continues its assault on Avdiivka.
