Switzerland projected to shift to right in national elections

IndiaTimes Sunday, 22 October 2023
Switzerland's national elections saw the right-wing Swiss People's Party (SVP) gain an increased share of the vote, driven by concerns about immigration and political correctness. The SVP campaigned on preventing population growth and addressing economic issues. The left-wing Social Democrats (SP) also saw a slight increase in their share of the vote, benefiting from concerns about rising health costs. The Greens, however, experienced a decline in their share of the votes.
