'NYC Legend': Are there alligators swimming in New York City sewers?
Monday, 23 October 2023 New York City has unveiled a statue called "NYC Legend" that depicts an alligator wrapped around a manhole cover. The statue, created by artist Alexander Klingspor, pays tribute to the enduring myth of alligators in the city's sewers. The statue will be on display in Union Square Park until June 2024.
