Wary of Israel's action plan: US officials

The Biden administration is expressing concern that Israel may lack achievable military objectives and a workable plan for a ground invasion in Gaza. While the US still supports the idea of a ground invasion, senior administration officials have stressed the need for careful consideration and adherence to the law of war. The Pentagon has deployed Lt. Gen. James Glynn and other officers to assist Israel with the challenges of urban warfare, but they will not be on the ground if an incursion into Gaza occurs.
