Thailand tries to rescue 162 nationals trapped in Myanmar fighting

Thailand is working to evacuate 162 of its citizens who are trapped in Myanmar due to clashes between junta troops and ethnic minority insurgents near the China border. This rescue mission follows the death of 30 Thais during an attack by Hamas militants in southern Israel. The Thai Prime Minister has instructed the embassy in Myanmar to assist in bringing the citizens back safely. Myanmar has been in turmoil since the military coup earlier this year.
