Eyeing North Korea, Tokyo holds first missile evacuation drill in years

IndiaTimes Monday, 6 November 2023
Tokyo held its first missile evacuation drill in years as concerns grow over the threat from North Korea. Around 60 residents participated in the drill, which aimed to educate people on the correct actions to take in the event of a missile attack. Despite the necessity of such drills, some residents still do not know what to do when the missile alert system is activated. Japan has conducted over a dozen drills this year, but this was the first in Tokyo since 2018.
