Russian drones and missiles attack Odesa, damaging an art museum
Tuesday, 7 November 2023 Russia retaliated against Ukraine by launching missiles and drones at the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa, injuring five people and damaging a 19th-century art museum. Ukraine's 128th Mountain Assault Brigade reported 19 soldiers killed in a Russian strike on a medal ceremony. The commander of the brigade has been removed from his post, and an investigation is underway. Ukraine's top military commander also lost a close aide in an explosion. Odesa's Fine Arts Museum, a UnescoWorld Heritage Site, suffered damage in the attack.
