Israel considers closing Hezbollah-affiliated news channel's activities
Saturday, 11 November 2023 The Israeli government is considering shutting down the activities of Al Mayadeen TV news channel, which is affiliated with Hezbollah. The government has approved emergency regulations to prevent foreign channels hostile to Israel, such as Al Jazeera and Al Mayadeen, from operating during the war. Communications Minister Shlomo Karai is expected to request the closure of Al Mayadeen at the next Political-Security Cabinet meeting. The channel has been accused of serving as a propaganda outlet for Hamas and broadcasting photos that could help Hamas identify Israeli soldiers' locations.
