2 major Gaza hosps suspend service as Israel hunts Hamas

IndiaTimes Monday, 13 November 2023
Two major hospitals in northern Gaza, Al-Shifa and Al-Quds, have closed to new patients due to Israeli bombardment and a lack of fuel and medicine. The hospitals are blockaded by Israeli forces and are struggling to care for those already inside. The Gaza health ministry reported that there are still 1,500 patients at Al-Shifa, along with 1,500 medical personnel and between 15,000 and 20,000 people seeking shelter. Health officials have disputed Israel's claims that it is helping evacuate babies, stating that critical supplies are running out and the fighting continues outside the hospitals.
