US's Austin visits wartime Kyiv in gesture of support for Ukraine

IndiaTimes Monday, 20 November 2023
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin visited Kyiv to show unwavering support for Ukraine in its fight against Russia's aggression. The visit comes amid concerns about the sustainability of Western assistance as the war with Russia continues. The US ambassador to Kyiv, Bridget Brink, emphasized the visit's significance in demonstrating Washington's support for Ukraine's fight for freedom. The trip also coincides with increasing division in the US legislature over aid for Ukraine, with a joint military industry conference between Ukraine and the US planned for next month.
