Wednesday, 22 November 2023 Israel and Hamas have agreed on a deal that will see the release of dozens of hostages from Gaza in exchange for a four-day pause in fighting and the release of Palestinian prisoners. The deal, mediated by Qatar, will initially see Hamas release 50 Israeli women and children, while Israel will release around 150 Palestinian prisoners. The pause in fighting will be extended for each additional ten hostages released by Hamas. Despite the agreement, Israel has emphasized that the war is not over.
