Israel, Palestinians accuse each other of 'genocide' at UN

Israeli and Palestinian representatives at the UN Human Rights Council traded accusations of 'genocide' over the war in Gaza. Israel's war against Hamas and the resulting man-made catastrophe were discussed. The Israeli representative highlighted the genocidal ideology of Hamas and the online anti-Semitism faced by the Jewish people. The Palestinian representative emphasized the massive bombing campaign by Israel and called for early action under the genocide convention. Other Muslim countries accused Israel of incitement to genocide, and concerns were raised about the failure to prevent genocide and the repression of Palestinian voices online.
