Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to defend his record in high-stakes grilling at Covid inquiry
Wednesday, 6 December 2023 Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to defend his record at a public inquiry into the country's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. Johnson will be questioned about his initial reluctance to impose a national lockdown and other crucial decisions. Families of the over 200,000 people who died from the virus are seeking answers from the inquiry. Johnson arrived at the venue early to avoid a protest. The inquiry, led by retired Judge Heather Hallett, is expected to take three years to complete. It is divided into four sections modules.
