Bibi rejects US role, says military moves not dictated by outsiders

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel on Sunday dismissed speculation that the United States was influencing Israel's wartime strategy, saying that he told President Biden a day earlier that his military would keep fighting in Gaza until all of its goals were achieved. Despite growing calls from most allies for a pause in fighting that would allow more aid into Gaza, Netanyahu has not backed down from his goal of destroying Hamas, which killed about 1,200 people in southern Israel on October 7, according to the Israeli authorities.
