Controversial Ugandan pastor shot in 'murder attempt'

Aloysius Bugingo, an influential Ugandan pastor and supporter of President Yoweri Museveni, was hospitalized after a shooting attack in Kampala. The attack, carried out by unidentified assailants on a motorcycle, resulted in the death of Bugingo's bodyguard, Muhumuza Richard. Bugingo sustained a slight shoulder injury and is currently receiving medical treatment at Mulago Hospital. Bugingo, the head of the House of Prayer Ministries, is known for his unconditional support for Museveni and has his own television and radio channels.
