US court prevents California from banning guns in most public places
Sunday, 7 January 2024 A federal appeals court reinstated a ruling that barred California from enforcing a law that bans carrying guns in most public places. Last week, the 9th Circuit suspended the injunction, allowing the law to take effect. However, a different panel of judges dissolved the order, stopping the law temporarily. Gun rights groups celebrated the decision, while California's appeal will be heard in April. The law, enacted after a Supreme Court ruling in 2022, prohibits carrying concealed guns in various places, regardless of permits.
