German court cuts funding to radical right party

Germany's Constitutional Court ruled that the state can cut off funding to the far-right NPD party and its successor, Die Heimat, even though they are not banned. The Bundestag lower house, the Bundesrat upper house, and the government applied in 2019 to the court to strip the party of funding after Germany's Basic Law was changed regarding the funds.
