US approves strikes against Iran targets in Iraq and Syria: Report

IndiaTimes Friday, 2 February 2024
CBS News reported on Thursday that US plans for multi-day strikes in Iraq and Syria have been approved, targeting various sites including Iranian personnel and facilities, according to US officials. The report comes after days of speculation about how Washington intends to respond following the deaths of three US service members in a drone strike in Jordan on Saturday. These deaths mark the first US casualties in an escalation of violence across key areas in West Asia since Israel's war in Gaza began in October.
